This Subject Matter area concerns BOTH Court Proceedings Challenging Determinations made by Governmental Agencies or Subdivisions; — AND – Assisting Customers Defending themselves in Regulatory Enforcement Actions before Agencies.

Appellate Law – (Premium Subject Matter Area*)

Appeals are Reviews of Decisions Rendered by Trial Courts by Higher Courts. — Includes the preparation of the Notice of Appeal, Assembly of the Court Record and Writing of the Appellate Brief.

Bankruptcy Law
_
Includes providing Assistance to Creditors (mostly) and Debtors (only rarely) in the Bankruptcy process.

(Independent Paralegals generally don’t prepare Bankruptcy Petitions because of the VERY LOW PAY that the USBC allows. — This means that you as the Customer will be Paying separately for other Services, like Credit Reporting and Credit Counseling. — There are Bankruptcy Petition Preparation Specialists whose Prices Independent Paralegals usually CANNOT MATCH.)

Personal Injury

Primarily involves Claims arising from Car Accidents and Medical Malpractice, but also includes any Injury a Person suffers by the Actions of another Person. — Also occasionally called Tort Law.

Personal Injury is usually only a Small Portion of the Work of any Independent Paralegal, as most PI Cases are handled on a Contingent-Fee basis by Attorneys.

Personal Injury Law also includes Litigating Legal Malpractice Claims*, which is a Premium Subject Matter area here at LQPS.
